Terms of Service

1. Who you are dealing with

Publifye AS (Solbergliveien 91D, 0683 Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian publisher — publifye.org. It operates TruthBeTold Ministry and this store, tbtm.sale. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Publifye AS, and "you" means the person or organization buying.

The same company runs the other Publifye services you may be sent to from here, and gives churches and ministries up to 25 digital editions free at resources.publifye.org. Those are a gift and are governed by the terms stated on that page, not by this one.

These terms govern every purchase made here. They work together with our Licence and our Privacy notice. By creating an account or completing a purchase you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not buy.

2. Your account

This store is register-first: nothing is sold without an account, because every purchase has to be tied to an email address in order to be recoverable. Sign-in is handled by Publifye's shared customer login (Lighthouse), so one account works across our services.

Keep your credentials safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us an address you can actually receive mail at — a purchase you cannot be reached about is a purchase we cannot help you with.

3. What you are buying

Everything sold here is digital content: ePub Bible editions, and yearly library passes that open the whole catalogue.

• Every edition is a DRM-free ePub. There is no lock, no reader app you must use, and no expiry on the file itself.
• Delivery is immediate. The moment payment clears, the download is issued and emailed to you. Nothing is shipped and nothing is manufactured to order.
• Your purchases are tied to your account and remain recoverable from it. A lost file, a new phone or a fresh e-reader costs you nothing.

Card payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

4. Immediate delivery, and the right of withdrawal you give up

This clause matters, so it is written plainly rather than in small print.

Because we are a Norwegian seller, a consumer buying at a distance normally has 14 days to withdraw from the purchase — angrerett under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven), which implements the EU Consumer Rights Directive. For digital content that is delivered immediately, that right is lost — but only if you asked for immediate delivery and were told what you were giving up. So we tell you, here and again at checkout:

You are shown this at checkout and you accept it there. It is the reason section 5 below holds. If you are not willing to give up your right of withdrawal, do not complete the purchase — there is no version of this store in which you receive the file first and decide afterwards.

5. No refunds. Period.

Concretely, and without exception:

• No refund once a file has been delivered — and delivery is immediate, so this is every purchase.
• No refund for a file you have not downloaded. Delivery is the issuing of the link, not your clicking it.
• No refund for buying the wrong edition, the wrong language, or the same edition twice. Every product page names the translation and the language before you buy; please read it.
• No refund on a library pass — not on the current period, not for allowance you did not use, not on cancellation, and not pro rata.
• No refund because you changed your mind.

What this clause does not do

This is a no-refund policy, not an attempt to take from you rights the law does not allow us to take. So, honestly:

• If we deliver something genuinely defective — a corrupt file, an edition that is not what its page described — tell us. We will replace it or put it right, and your statutory rights over a defective product are untouched by anything on this page.
• If we charged you twice for the same thing by our own error, that is our mistake, not a sale, and we will correct it.
• Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for gross negligence or intent.

What we do not do is unwind a completed, correctly delivered sale. That is the whole of the policy, and it applies to individual editions and to library passes alike.

6. The library passes

A library pass is a yearly subscription that opens the whole catalogue for as long as it runs — the Personal pass for one reader and their household, the Organization pass for a church, school or mission. Prices and what each includes are on the passes page.

It renews automatically

A pass bills once a year and renews on its own until you cancel. That is how it stays uninterrupted.

You may cancel at any time

Cancelling stops all future billing and closes your library. It does not refund the current period — see section 5 — and there is no pro-rata return of the unexpired part of the year.

What you have already taken stays yours

Every file you downloaded to your own devices while the pass was running remains yours to read, for good, under the Licence. Closing the library never reaches into your bookshelf. What ends is your access to take more.

Price changes

If we change the price of a pass, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it takes effect. You can cancel rather than renew.

7. The daily allowance

A pass is a year of reading, not one bulk download, so it carries a daily allowance:

• Personal — 10 downloads a day.
• Organization — 100 downloads a day.
• The allowance resets at 00:00 UTC each day. It does not roll over: an unused day is simply an unused day, and is never refunded or credited.
• Re-downloading a title you have already taken is free and never counts against the allowance, however many times you need it.

The allowance figures above are the ones in force today; if we change them we will say so on the passes page. We may refuse or throttle activity that is plainly automated harvesting of the catalogue rather than a person reading — see section 9.

8. What you may do with what you obtain

The Licence is a page of its own and forms part of these terms. In short: what you obtain here is for you and your household; an Organization pass may be shared within the organization and its outreach, never charging the people who receive it; and nothing obtained here may be resold, published for open download, or redistributed to the public.

9. Acceptable use

Please use the store reasonably. Do not:

• Break the law with it, or infringe anyone's rights;
• Resell, publish, or redistribute what you obtain (see the Licence);
• Share, sell or lend your account or your pass;
• Script, scrape or otherwise automate bulk downloading of the catalogue;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or circumvent the store, its checkout or its access controls.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of these. A pass closed for abuse is not refunded.

10. Availability — an honest expectation

This is a small store, run on a best-effort basis. There is no guaranteed uptime and no enterprise SLA, and we would rather say so than promise one we cannot keep.

The store depends on services we do not control end to end — Lighthouse (accounts, catalogue, checkout), Stripe (payment) and S3 object storage (the files themselves). If one of them is briefly down, browsing, checkout or a download can fail with it. We are not liable for delays or interruptions outside our reasonable control.

Keep your own copies. Your purchases stay recoverable from your account and we take reasonable care, but we are not your archive of record. The ePub on your own device is the copy that cannot go offline.

Catalogue and pricing can change. An edition may be withdrawn from sale; that does not affect a copy you have already obtained.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent Norwegian law allows, we exclude indirect and consequential loss, lost profits and lost data. Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for gross negligence or intent, and including a consumer's statutory rights in respect of a defective product.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the store changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its "last updated" date at the top. Material changes are announced before they take effect. A completed purchase is governed by the terms in force when it was made.

13. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
